General Description of Project
Primarily, the project consists of the reconstruction of the roofs of five classrooms with the total area of 330 square meters at the Basic Center. In order to complete this project, we are asking for the metal drain pipe and the aluzinc lamina for better durability as the inside has already been repaired and being that the previously used wood had a very short duration.
Furthermore, the reconstruction of the roof, we are asking:
- The installation of 5 metal doors of 1 meter by 2 meters.
- The installation of metal gates for the windows of an area of 70 square meters.
- The construction of 30 meters of the principle concrete columns of 15 centimeters by 15 centimeters.
- The construction of 48 meters of ceiling armed with concrete of 15 centimeters by 15 centimeters.
- The interior and exterior wall paint and the improvement of the electric and light systems.
Justification
One of the areas that require a strong social inversion in order to achieve development of the municipality is the area of education, which allows for the intellectual preparation of our human resources. By that means, those persons of higher academic levels will have more possibilities and opportunities in this globalized world.
Furthermore, for those that can reach the objectives of the educational learning process, the classrooms should meet the appropriate conditions for hygiene and security. This also produces a pleasant environment that motivates both the students and the teachers to give their greatest efforts in the educational obligations.
Currently, the Macario Ortiz Motiño Basic Center in the urban area of the municipality of San Antonio de Flores has nine classrooms, 4 of which were constructed recently and the other five were constructed in 1992.
The recently constructed classrooms can be found in good conditions, unlike the classrooms that were constructed 15 years ago, which are in poor conditions. The pending repair needs is urgent being that the teachers and students are both at high risk in these classrooms. For example, the ceiling, wood beams, and lamina are all deteriorating. In addition, the paint is chipping off the walls, and the metal screening on the windows, electric energy system, and the posts are deteriorating.
Considering the risk that these conditions present, the reconstruction of the five classrooms is urgent and it is necessary to start soon while reconstruction is still possible. It is necessary to provide this student population with the minimal, required conditions for their educational center.
OBJECTIVES
General Objective: To improve the physical conditions of the Basic Center through the reconstruction of the classrooms which are found in poor conditions and furthermore, to improve the pedagogy conditions of the educational center in the urban area of San Antonio de Flores.
Specific Objective: To reconstruct the five classrooms in the Basic Center.
