General Description of Project

The project will consist of the construction of a perimeter fence surrounding the Luis Landa Kindergarten located in the center of the community of Esquimay.
Currently this school building is unprotected and unsecured for those students that receive classes there.

Justification

This school building was constructed with the funds of an international cooperation in 2004, yet the fence was not constructed because there were some adjustments made in the funding in 2005 and since that date, funding is provided for this construction.  There is no perimeter fence, which protects the infrastructure from intruders of the community.
Furthermore, they are unable to reforest the yard surrounding the school, because there are animals that enter into the area and destroy the planted trees.
Without this perimeter fence at the school, the children are at risk of the intruding adults that may interrupt the activities of the school.

Beneficiaries

With the reconstruction of this perimeter fence, 48 kindergarten students will benefit.

Objectives

General Objective: Provide security to the existing infrastructure and the school children through the construction of the perimeter fence.

Specific Objective:  Construct a perimeter fence of  400 square meters.

Anticipated Impact

To provide the building where kindergarten classes take place with a perimeter fence that protects and secures the school children within their various activities.
