Kitchen/Shed Construction for the Kindergarten in the community of San Jorge
Geographical Location
The submitted project will be implemented in San Jorge, within the village of San Juan Bosco, located in the Pespire Municipality. This village is found in the northeastern part of the Municipality, 22 kilometers from the city and there is access from the highway throughout the year.

After the necessary funds are received, it should take three months to complete the project.

General Description of the Project
The project will be that of the construction of a kitchen/shed 4 meters by 5 meters for the Kindergarten.
The kitchen/shed will be constructed of block and will hold or store food, tools, and so forth, and on the other hand, the kitchen will allow the preparation of foods for the students and will preserve the existing kitchen utensils.
Justification
The construction of this property will convert an area of the property in order to prepare and serve foods to the students, which currently do not have this service. Currently, the foods that are cooked are prepared outside in an outdoor clay stove, which is not recommended and puts the children at risk of contamination. In addition the persons that prepare the food are outside and exposed to the sun during food preparation.
Beneficiaries
With the construction of this kitchen/shed, the 30 children who attend the Kindgarden in San Jorge will directly benefit.
Objectives
General Objective: To develop an appropriate place with the minimal necessary conditions to prepare and consume food for the better improvements of the school.
Specific Objective: To construct a kitchen/shed for the Kindergarten.
Anticipated Impact
The Kindergarten will have a space for food consumption and preparation.
Financing
This project is submitted by The Christian Commission for Development, which will negotiate and implement this project.
Project cost: Lps. 56,117.00 or US$ 2,969.15
Materials cost: Lps. 35,867.00 or US$ 1,897.72
Labor: Lps. 15,000.00 or US$ 793.65
Local Materials: Lps. 5,250.00 or US$ 277.78
The municipality will finance the skilled labor and the local materials. The community could provide the labor.
