Classroom Construction for the Jose Trinidad Reyes School in the community of El Chaparral
Geographical Location:
The unified municipalities for North Choluteca consist of 4 municipalities, Pespire, San Jose, San Antonio de Flores, and San Isidro, forming the Northern Department of Choluteca.
The submitted project will be implemented in the Pespire Municipality of Choluteca and will directly benefit the community of El Chaparral, Marilia village, which is found 5 kilometers west of the municipality. Access to this area is available all the time from the highway.

After the necessary funds are received, the construction of the project will only take 2 months.

The community will provide the manual labor for the implementation of the project.
General Description of Project
The project will be the construction of a classroom where 30 children between the ages of 9 and 14 from the two surrounding communities will attend grades first through six. This school has been functioning since 1958 in the poor conditions, which it is found in currently. The construction of this project is urgent because the governments have never done anything to provide or improve the education of this community through the construction of a new school building in this sector of the country. The children who attend the school in its current state are at risk of being infected with a contagious disease due to the infestation of bugs and, even worse, they could die, buried in the poor conditions of the existing building.
Furthermore, to assure the investment, the community has its own land, with documentation, for the construction of this classroom.
Justification
The construction of this classroom is intended to improve the pedagogy conditions and to provide an improved educational environment for the children of this community. Currently, this community school does not provide an adequate service to meet the requirements for primary education.
Objectives
General Objective: To improve the physical pedagogy of the community school in Chaparral.
Specific Objective: To build one classroom of 64.13 square meters with the labor and support of the local community.
Modes of Project’s Implementation
The community along with the Communal Patronato will be in charge of the implementation of the project, where the community will provide the general labor.
